Manufacturing Process
Rollers are collected and brought to our plant. Once received, rollers are identified, labeled, expertly measured against manufacture's specifications further bearings and journals are checked. Rollers are then stripped and any necessary engineering work is carried out (all journal end repairs being carried out in house).
After ensuring a complete clearn surface, special bonding agents are applied on old shaft as per the requirements.
Then the layer of the rubber is applied directly on it using 3 roll builder machine. The thickness of the layer is predetermined as per the specification or the sizes given by the OEMs.
Then the roller is wrapped with strong cotton tapes, vulcanized in the autoclaves under closely controlled conditions such as pressure, temperature and curing time which are predetermined.
After curing the rollers are kept for seasoning in the natural draft.
The cooled rollers are then ground on Roll grinding machine.
It is then polished at high speed till it reaches the desired finish.
Finally roller is cleaned again and checked for surface defects and inspected with series of tests to ascertain dimensional accuracies.
Rollers for high speed machines are balanced dynamically.
The roller is finally packed, marked for dispatch.
